Dr. Bessam Farjo and his wife Dr. Nilofer Farjo were trained at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and specialized in follicular unit surgery in Toronto, Canada. They insist on strictly limiting the number of patients they operate on each day to assure that everyone receives the care and attention they deserve. The results of their very refined follicular unit surgery are impressive.
They are able to do mega sessions of all follicular units, up to 3,500 grafts, depending on the patients needs. They are very careful to limit the size of the session to only that which can be done safely and with excellent rates of growth.
They also do state of the art repair work. This often involves removing part of the old outdated plug and dissecting it into 1, 2, 3, and 4 hair follicular unit grafts that are then redistributed in a natural pattern. They also have a sub specialty transplanting mustaches and beards.
Their clinic is registered with the Healthcare Commission as a surgical facility of the highest standard.
Drs. Bessam and Nilofer Farjo have been active participants and presenters with the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery every year since the organization’s 1st Annual Conference in Dallas, Texas in 1993. They are also founding members of the British Association of Hair Restoration Surgeons.
They have also been very active members and presenters with the European Society of Hair Restoration Surgery and hosted the 5th annual Conference of the European Society of Hair Restoration Surgery in London in 2002.
Dr. Bessam Farjo has performed over 3,000 hair transplant procedures and has been awarded a Fellow of the International College of Surgeons (FICS) in plastic surgery. He has also been featured in the ISHRS’s Hair Transplant Forum Journal as “Surgeon of the Month”.
At the Farjo Medical Centre, all potential patients are assessed by one of the doctors before any treatment is scheduled. They are also given an estimate of the number of grafts and procedures needed and the total cost involved.
For those who want to do an initial consultation via long distance they have installed web cams in both their Manchester and London clinics.
The Farjo Medical Centre also uses dissolvable sutures in the donor area so that patients traveling from over seas do not have to make a return visit to have their sutures removed.
