 My Hair Loss Story.

Hairline has slowly receded since about 18 at the temples and sides, but has been thinning badly in the front center the past 3 years.

How has my hair loss affected me?

What hair loss treatments have worked best for me?

Am I happy with my hair transplant experience and the results?

So far, I'm very happy with the procedure, personnel, and results. My main concern with the whole procedure is shockloss in the recipient area. I've read a ton of the blogs and haven't found anybody so far that has had a lot of implants in/around a somewhat dense recipient area - and then confirmed later all went smooth. This kind of goes back to the "to shave, or not to shave" issue as well. I wanted to post this blog more than anything to provide others with a data point for my scenario: recipient area not shaved, and a high percent of my 2500 grafts being inserted in thinning to semi-dense existing hair. So far there has been no shock loss anywhere. The healing has been great as well.  The goal of my surgery is to hold my existing front  hairline, make the sides even, and thicken the middle.  I'm assuming at this point I'll have to have more work done later, as more loss occurs over time.

What hair loss treatments would I recommend?

How has hair restoration surgery changed my life?

 My general advice and suggestions.

I reviewed all of the interviews, then created a table listing my top 10 docs. In the table, I identified the most important issues to me (column headers - "shave yes/no", "donor procedure", "blog results", "instruments", "PRP", etc.) and then marked down what applied to each doc (yes - I'm a geek). In the end, Dr.Cooley was at the top of my list. And I'm glad I chose him.

Best advice I can give - go to Cooley.
