49

Level of
Baldness:

Bald Class 3

Surgical
Treatments:

1 session of 1815 grafts... 1's 600, 2's 915, 3's 300 By Dr Kenneth Siporin in Los Angeles. Dr. Siporin Recc that we shave the frontal area so he could get better density in the surrounding area. This was not mandatory. I felt if it makes his job easier and I get better density because of it, then why not. Not only that, I can wear a hat at work until it grows in, so it worked out.

rjnebbo had surgery performed by Kenneth D. Siporin, M.D., F.A.C.S

Non-Surgical
Treatments:

I tried Regenix, but had a bad skin reaction to the product, also tried Nixon shampoo, which is a great product, but does nothing for hair regrowth.

 My Hair Loss Story.

I noticed hair loss around year 2002 and tried a few shampoos like Nioxin, but it was not until this last year (2008) that I started taking a more proactive approach.

How has my hair loss affected me?

I was frustrated that I could no longer style my hair the way I wanted and was limited to what I could do.

What hair loss treatments have worked best for me?

Not sure just yet, but the HT along with Propecia and Rogaine is the plan, probably some MSM as well.

Am I happy with my hair transplant experience and the results?

I am very happy so far with the results, I am at 2 days post op right now.

What hair loss treatments would I recommend?

Hair Transplant, Propecia and Rogaine...

One thing I would like to mention, that I did not expect, was the amount of swelling that happens. The Dr. mentioned it me but I blew it off. My forehead and at the side of eyes, eyebrows, (and where your sideburns would be) got real puffy and swollen for me so I put ice on each side of my eyes and forehead and kept them in place with a 6" wide ACE elastic bandage to keep compression on the area, this helped alot, however over night it would come back. So what I recc is to put the ACE bandage on over night (without ice) to keep compression on the area. I am using the Grafcyte product kit and it seems to work really well. I am also taking Whey protein mix with a whole slue of other supplements, BUT NO VITAMIN E! Pre or Post Op. here is the list:

Pre Op 2wk prior & Post Op Supplements
Vitamin A 3,500 iu
Vitamin C 325mg

How has hair restoration surgery changed my life?

To early to tell yet

 My general advice and suggestions.

search for a surgeon you feel comfortable with. Dr Siporin was great and the staff was a pleasure to deal with.
