| My Hair Loss Story. |
I started losing it in early 20's. Didnt have time to do anything until now - late 30's |
| How has my hair loss affected me? |
I was a little insecure and wore a hat alot into my early 30's.... Then got comfortable with being just about bald and stopped wearing a hat as much, but never liked that i was going bald. So, at age 36 I started to read about the progress in the hair industry. I read and read, and researched and researched. I was insecure, and self consious of my hair loss and finally got a proceedure done by Shapiro. |
| What hair loss treatments have worked best for me? |
Rogaine, Proscar, Not sure but I am using LaserComb now, and not sure if it works at all. |
| Am I happy with my hair transplant experience and the results? |
Dr Shapiro, Matt, Janna and the crew there were excellent!
I am 9 months (April 28, 2007) post op now, and the results are showing significantly - great actually. Thanks Dr. Shapiro and Janna and Matt! The crown filled in quiet a bit b/c of the Proscar and Rogaine. I feel like I reversed the clock by at least 10 years and my hair looks like it did when I was 30 or maybe younger. I think I am about at the end of the growth....this may be my last picture post - I might post one at 1 year next. I would definately do this again, and the Shapiro Medical Group was great. See my results for yourself. I think my results are some of the best on this site!! |
| What hair loss treatments would I recommend? |
Rogaine, Proscar, Nizoral 2%. |
| How has hair restoration surgery changed my life? |
I actually had a 24 year old ask me out, she was a contestant on America's Top Model - that would never have happened prior to my transplant....no way. |
| My general advice and suggestions. |
Expect a numb head for a while. Do your homework and find the best Dr. you can. Be patient. Dont be afraid. |
