Toppik works for me.

 My Hair Loss Story.

Hair started thinning at 18. Had two back-to-back transplants on the front-third 12 years ago (age 30).  I was very pleased with the results.  But in the last 3 years, my crown and 'part' have thinned considerably, so I decided to get work done in those areas.  After a period of researching forums, and getting several live and on-line consultations, I chose Dr. Rahal in Ottawa.

How has my hair loss affected me?

When I was in my early 20's, hair loss affected my confidence.  But now that I'm early 40's, I'm just interested in trying to look more youthful.

What hair loss treatments have worked best for me?

I began Propecia 9 months before this transplant and I have had positive, but not overwhelming results.

Am I happy with my hair transplant experience and the results?

This latest transplant was the best of the three I've had.  The consultation was not rushed and collaborative. Everyone at the clinic was extremely caring and professional.   The procedure itself was painless, yet I was not overly drugged-up.  Dr. Rahal even drove me back to the hotel afterward.

What hair loss treatments would I recommend?

A hair transplant is the only way to go, supplemented by Propecia/Minoxidil.  Toppik works well for me on days when I want a little more thickness.

How has hair restoration surgery changed my life?

Increased confidence in social situations.  Also, less concern about thin hair led me to enjoy a more physically active life-style which has helped me lose weight.
