Finally after years of researching and spending way to much time on the hair loss forums I decided on Shapiro Medical group and Dr. Paul Shapiro. Cost  and scheduling was some what of the reason I chose Dr. Paul over Dr. Ron....and I know what your thinking cost should never be a reason but after years of looking up hair line results Dr. Paul was producing amazing results like his brother...as if he wanted to out do him or something! lol. Also Dr. Paul's schedule worked perfect with mine as far as time away from work to heal. I think I ended with 1767 total graphs placed into the temples and hair line....I will eventually  update with actual hair counts and numbers. Dr. Paul felt that was sufficient to address my hair line and said he felt comfortable with dense packing  based on the fact of my use of meds, age, and family history. He also said I had a slightly above average donor density of slight more than 90fu's per square centimeter and had plenty of donor should I lose more later. I believe he said that he would dense pack around an average of 50 fu per cs. Dr. Paul thought that would enable me to style my hair like I desire to.

 My Hair Loss Story.

Started noticing the tiniest of recession in the temples around 28 years of age. Started 2% minox at that time. Started 5% minox whenever that came out. Continued on minox until about the time I turned 33 at that time I got on propecia. I also discontinued the minox at that time....I really hated applying the stuff! Continued propecia until sometime early in 2008 at that time i switched to generic proscar and spit the pill in quarters. I never suffered any side effects from the finasteride what so ever. Through out the use of both meds I continued to SLOWLY lose hairs in my temples and a little in the very front. By careful hairstyling I was able to disguise my hair loss to most everybody but was becoming a real pain to style. Never underestimate a good hairstyle to hide hair loss! LOL. I'm thankful for finasteride to maintain my crown with no thinning. I kinda always knew I would need the hair line fixed eventually and constantly researching and waiting until the time came that I could no longer style my hair without looking like I was trying to cover something up!

What hair loss treatments have worked best for me?

finasteride, propecia, minox

What hair loss treatments would I recommend?

finasteride, propecia, minox
