Tried Propecia but gave up because I hate popping pills. Also tried Regaine (rogaine) but I developed a skin allergy so had to stop. |

| My Hair Loss Story. |
I was born with a naturally high forehead and hairline. As I age, the hair at the temples started receding, especially in the past decade (2000-2010). I've considered hair transplant in Singapore where I live, but the cost is very high and surgeons may be less experienced compared to say, Thailand, where more people undergo the procedure. |
| How has my hair loss affected me? |
No one feels good about losing hair, but I managed to cope well by wearing my hair longer since 2009. |
| What hair loss treatments have worked best for me? |
None so far. BEWARE OF 'HERBAL TREATMENT' CHAINS. THEY DON'T WORK! I can't name them in case they sue me. A few people I know tried them, all said they don't work and cost almost the same as a hair transplant!! |
| Am I happy with my hair transplant experience and the results? |
HT with Dr Path on 28 Dec 2010. The team was experienced, making the process very pleasant. I was semi-conscious and felt little pain. I even did some light shopping and dinner before returning to hotel. |
| What hair loss treatments would I recommend? |
No two persons' hair loss are the same. You should consult a reputable doctor(s) and do extensive research before making any decision. |
| How has hair restoration surgery changed my life? |
Well let's just say that I am more enthusiastic and confident when taking photos. It makes me look much younger than my age. I can't write about the 20-year old model who asked me out in case the missus reads my blog..... oops what did I just say? |
| My general advice and suggestions. |
Wear your hair longer and keep your scalp VERY clean. Shampoo once in the morning and once in the evening. Massage your scalp and leave the shampoo in for 5 minutes while you wash your face/body.
