I got strong sexual side effects from Propecia, and so Dr Keller and I decided together that it wasn't worth taking it. I've been using Rogaine (5%, twice a day) for 3 or 4 years prior to my first procedure, and have continued to use it since.

 My Hair Loss Story.

My hairline had been slowly receding over the last decade or so, and I wanted to get it fixed. I decided to go with Dr Keller in Chicago, and received an FUT on 11/29/10. About 2640 grafts were used (though I only paid for the original estimate of 2600.) The graft count was approximately 300 singles, 320 doubles, and 2020 multi-hair grafts. This put the total hair count at about 8,000+.

The results were decent - consistent with many of the results I've seen on this website. But like many patients, I decided that I'd like a little more density, in order get a natural look a little more effortlessly. Given my good experience with Dr Keller the first time, there was no question in my mind that he should do my second procedure. And so on 12/06/11 I had a followup procedure of 1734 grafts - with 235 singles, 265 doubles, and 1234 multi-hair grafts (interestingly enough, roughly the same proportions as before.)
