I started losing hair after 35 and decided to do something about it at the age of 40. I started using Minoxidil and it did work for me stopping the progression of hair loss. After 4 years of use I started to have heart palpitations (PVCs). After several tests cardiologist told me there was nothing wrong with my heart and told me to learn to live with it. I attributed the palpitations to Minoxidil and discontinued the use of it. Subsequently, in 6 months I had lost quite a lot of hair. Later I found out my palpitations was not caused by Minoxidil but lifting heavy weights in the gym (entry level hiatus messing with the electrical signaling of the heart). When I changed my work out to lighter weights and safer lifts all palpitations were gone. In any case, with most hair gone on top of my head, I decided to have a hair transplant to reocover the coverage I had before discontinuing Minoxidil.
