When rogaine first became available over the counter I started using the Xtra Strength version. It was oily and nasty and made my scalp itch but I tried it for a year. Seemed to help a little in keeping hair but I absolutely hated putting it on and feeling it running down my scalp. So I gave up on it at around 30. I tried Propecia with little results and used it for a while until I read that it causes some severe cases of cancer in some patients and then I stopped using it. Later found out that that may not have been true but who knows.
Then Rogaine Foam came out and I have began using that again. It is a much better alternative to the old rogaine and is more like mouse. I use it daily for the last 3 months. Results: we'll see about in the future.
After my hair transplant, I started using Propecia again. It's only been a short while so the results will follow later. After talking with Matt Zupan and Dr Ron Shapiro I felt that it was safe and that I could use it without worry. |
