 My Hair Loss Story.

I started losing my hair at age 31. Mostly in the frontal area and slowly some in the crown area. I have my 1st hair transplant procedure Feb 7th 2008 with Dr. Jeff Epstein in Miami and we are having 1 procedure with 2300 grafts. I just started propecia and minox and soon will try the revita shampoo. I will update my pics after hair transplant.

How has my hair loss affected me?

Well It was tough to start losing hair l . It effected my mind and how people would say that im losing my hair,it seemed to be a world topic for awhile since I had a full head of hair into my early thirties. Then when it did start to fallout it was like a landslide and Not to mention at that point of my life I was under a lot of stress due to other things going on in my life.

What hair loss treatments have worked best for me?

I tried scalp med a few years ago and it seemed to really work great on my crown and some of the frontal was even growing back, but boy was it so expensive and the product was damaging my hair since it was so fine and the product was a bit greasy since I Grew my hair longer and tried a new hair style. So I stopped the product after using it for 1 year and my new hair just fell out again. Later I found out through Dr. Epstein that the only active ingredient in the scalpmed was the minoxidil and the good news was that the minox did a great job on re-growing my hair. So now my hair transplant is in Feb 2008 and I am back on minox and started using propecia also. I cut my hair back to military stle that the minox would not make it so greasy and wait for the hair transplant procedure to really bring back my hair from the past.

Am I happy with my hair transplant experience and the results?

I cant say enough about Dr. Epstein (world class Ht Doc and a great all around guys guy) He really puts his patients at ease. I was scheduled for 2300 grafts and this doc pulled out 2953 with my tight lax donor area. Superior is my words and nothing else below for what I got from Dr. Epstein. To boot he gave me a great price on the amount of $$$ per grafts and we had an estimate of 2300 grafts for my ht. As I said he pulled out 2953 WOW !!!! The man is a classy top notch guy who said to me with a big smile after the procedure. Great surgery it seemed he was more happy than myself. Then he said with another big smile on his face  no cost for the 653 extra grafts!!! Come on guys!!! This guy is the best look at my pics!!! I was out and about the same day after my surgery having a fantastic meal with my wife and baby in Miami. Next day went in to Dr. Epstein office for my shampoo and then me and my wife went out on a sunset cruise to see more of the Miami atmosphere. Then after the cruise Dr. Epstein gave me a great recomendation for Valigios fine cuisine restraunt that was top notch also!!! Great prices and Great food with all the ambiance you could have for a romantic dinner with your wife or girl. If you ever go to Miami the restraunt is in Coral gables off of Ponce deleon blvd in there beautiful outside mall. I had sauteed veal with mushrooms in a white champayne cream sauce. Go Dr. E

What hair loss treatments would I recommend?

I waited for 8 years for technology to get better and said to myself lets see what my hair does and wait a little while and not use anything for a daily regimen accept the time with scalpmed which was a big ripoff and seemed to be the miracle solution for re-growing back your natural hair in there over dramatic infomertial with the people crying and praising that this product was a gift from heaven. Dont use it, use minoxidill, a lot cheaper and the same stuff

How has hair restoration surgery changed my life?

best thing I have done in awhile, (My motto) LIKE ANYTHING IN LIFE,NOTHING HAPPENS UNTIL YOU TAKE ACTION!!!!

 My general advice and suggestions.

wait awhile guys if you are younger and see what your hair does for loss in the future, and save your $$$$$ for an ht with a great doctor. (CALL DR. EPSTEIN)
