I have always had a widows peak but I first noticed hair loss in my late twenties. Although it was very gradual it was steady and I have progressed to a NW 2/3 in around 13 years. It is only in the last few years though that the comments of 'your losing it' and 'baldy' and 'receding a lot' have been mentioned and that was getting more and more frequent. It became a bit of an obsession with me and I have become increasingly self conscious about my hairline. I decided as it it wasn’t going to get better to take positive steps to recover the situation. I knew nothing about HTs and very nearly went to the first company I came across in a glossy magazine (Norton) having met with the salesman and the so called surgeon, i was less than impressed, thankfully at this point I realized that there was possibly more to this than I thought and began to do some research on the net. It was here that I discovered that the standard of transplants varied hugely and I decided that money and distance would not be an issue in finding the best surgeon. I decided to go with Feller medical after reading about and seeing his fantastic results. It was very convenient for me that Dr Feller is in New York as I travel there on business on a regular basis, and after meeting with him in December I was convinced he was the correct choice. Luckily he was able to fit me in for a procedure the following month which suited my previously arranged leave dates. I originally wanted a FUE but after much deliberation I decided that I could get more grafts in one hit with a strip and not alter my appearance post op too drastically. |
