I had a surgery done about 8 years ago. I didn't do my research as I thought all surgeons were the same. I was so wrong. Luckily for me the procedure didn't end up terrible but the scar was stretched since I was never told to do scalp laxity exercises.
I just had another surgery for just over 2900 grafts with Dr.H.Rahal in Ottawa. The overall experience was great although I did want more grafts done but he said he didn't want to go back to too far since my native hair would be affected with the incisions. He also couldn't remove my old scar since it was very low on my head. I will hopefully go back in 3-4 months and have the old scar removed completely which he said he would do.
Used Propecia since January of this year (08). Post op I have picked up some 5% Rogaine foam and will be adding that to my daily regiment although I recently picked up Proscar instead of Propecia and saved alot of money as a result.
My Hair Loss Story.
I noticed that I was starting to lose my hair around the age of 22. Unlike some people it's been a pretty slow process. Not fun either.
How has my hair loss affected me?
It's sucked. Because I had a surgery a long time ago along my hairline over the last year especially I've become a little obsessed with it since my hair receded from that area. It's been a big hit to my confidence.
What hair loss treatments have worked best for me?
Propecia has worked alright. I am hoping the combo of Proscar and Rogaine foam will work well.
Am I happy with my hair transplant experience and the results?
So far I am happy about the experience. The results have yet to be seen.
