Dr. Bhatti provides exclusive cutting edge FUE hair transplant surgery at his clinic in India

Why Dr. Bhatti is recommended.

Dr Tejinder Bhatti’s Darling Buds Clinic, located at Chandigarh, India, has over 10 years experience and has experience with both FUT Strip surgery and Follicular Unit Excision (formerly known as Follicular Unit Extraction) (FUE). Today, Dr. Bhatti is highly regarded as one of the first international clinics totally dedicated to FUE hair transplant. Dr. Bhatti performs only 1 or 2 cases each day and has the staff and experience to perform sessions of FUE exceeding 2000 grafts in a single day when appropriate for the patient.

Dr. Tejinder Bhatti specializes in FUE, scar repair, eyebrow transplantation, and BHT (Body hair transplantation - using hair from various parts of the body to restore hair on the scalp). He also provides prescriptions for Propecia, medical hair loss treatment including low level laser therapy. Dr. Bhatti runs a fully hands-on FUE workshop at his clinic every year at his clinic so that leading physicians around the world can learn from each other. Dr. Bhatti has trained dozens of physicians in the FUE technique in the last 18 months alone.

Dr Tejinder Bhatti believes that the following points are important to establish and maintain an excellent doctor / patient relationship in the field of hair transplalntation..

* The training of the doctor and his team
* Low turn-over rate of key staff members
* Personal interaction (e-mails/phones/Video calls) with patients before nad after surgery
* Sate of the art care
* Economical prices

These 5 points help to ensure that Dr. Bhatti and his dedicated team get world class results and happy patients year after year.

Dr. Bhatti utilizes Dr. Jim Harris' motorized SAFE Scribe for extracting follicular units from the donor site at his practice. In his hands, Dr. Bhatti feels that this device maximizes both quality and quantity of the grafts during the extraction process. Additionally, because this tool uses “blunt dissection” as opposed to a sharp punch, angle and direction of the punch is less critical to avoid transection of the hair follicle.

Dr. Bhatti uses a .75mm punch in Caucasian patients due to their finer and thinner hair and prefers using a .85mm punch in Indians. While follicular units obtained via FUE are more fragile, Dr. Bhatti is confident that he can regularly obtain 95% growth yield in the vast majority of patients by carefully extracting/handling grafts and transplanting them within 3 or 4 hours of being harvested.

Dr. Tejinder Bhatti is dedicated to natural hairline reconstruction and selects only the finest 1 haired follicular units for placement in the first two rows of the hairline. In order to create the most natural looking hairline and result, Dr Bhatti typically densely packs up to 55 follicular units per square centimeter (FU/cm2). In Asians and Caucasians, Dr. Bhatti staggers the hairline and creates a non-staggered hairline in Africans in order to best mimic nature.

Dr. Bhatti uses a combination of small needles and custom cut blades as small as .75mm to create recipient incisions. This ensures a snug and comfortable fit for the extracted follicular units in order to maximize growth yield.

Dr. Bhatti is a member of the following organizations:

    *  ISHRS (International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery)
    *  ASAPS (American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery)
    *  Association of Plastic Surgeons of India
    *  Indian Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons
    *  International College of Cosmetic Surgery
    *  Association of Armed Forces Surgeons of India

I probably first noticed my hairline receding around 19 or 20. I was devastated since it was the eighties and I had some pretty cool, super-long heavy metal hair. I was sure I'd be a cue ball by age 25. Fortunately for me, while I quickly developed...

Caucasian patient hair transplant in India The characterisics of Caucasiand hair that help in the proecdure and technique of hair transplant are its straight direction, compactness of the follicular grouping in a tight bundle and lack of severe adhesions under the skin. It is a pleasure harvesting Caucasian hair since it is so easy to extract since just pops out and with adequate care the grafts can be harvested without significant traction. Also the crusts that occur after the procedure in the recipient site of plantation fall off much earlier than in other racial groups- a mere 7-10 days as compared to 2-3 weeks in others. Due to the compactness of follicular units a smaller size Harris punch can be used- o.1 mm lesser in diameter (o.75 mm).

    Male | Caucasion | Class: 2 | 2889 Grafts in 1 Session | FUE | Transplant

Indian male patient after hair transplant Hair line design should be natural. The components of a natural hairline design at Darling Buds hair transplant clinic @Chandigarh is use of single follicles in the first 2 rows, macro and micro irregularities. A hairline should frame the face well incorporating esthetically placed and pleasing soft temple triangles. The racial characteristics of an individual in hairline design should be kept in mind. Before traveling to India for a hair transplant keep in mind that you should discuss the hairline beforehand. The best hair transplant clinics in India will encourage you to do so.

    Male | Non-Caucasion | Class: 3 | 2000 Grafts in 1 Session | FUE | Transplant

Female pattern baldness This 30 years old female of Caucasian and Asian descent came with a wide forehead wishing to lower her hairline. Using FUE hair transplant technique for female pattern baldness (wide forehead in this case) a natural hairline was designed keeping in mind her facial contours and racial features in consonance with her legitimate objectives of a low hairline for her wide forehead. The final result of hair transplant is seen after 8 months of the FUE procedure. The patient came in for addition of density. Please note that during the procedure, the "no shave" hair transplant procedure was used and this restricts the total number of grafts available in one hair transplant session. The hair transplant was done under local anesthesia without any sedation. The procedure lasted 8 hours which included the harvesting of FUE grafts after counseling, head wash and hairline design consultation. This was followed by the plantation process. It is to be noted that Dr Tejinder Bhatti at Darling Buds Hair Transplant Clinic, Chandigarh does the majority of the procedure of hair loss surgery himself. This is the hallmark of his successful hair transplant practice due to which Darling Buds is considered the best hair transplant clinic for FUE in the world and especially for FUE megasessions.

    Sikh pattern traction alopecia

http// Hair transplant procedures for Sikh pattern traction alopecia are extremely common in the geographical area of my practice at Chandigarh, India which is the capital of Punjab with predominantly Sikh population. Sikh pattern traction alopecia is caused by tight tying of the topknot which is common practice in the Sikh religion. Today Sikhs are spread out all over the world in countries like USA, Canada, UK and Australia. With change in modern living and fashion many opt for having a clean shaven look which though forbidden by Sikhism is a norm today amongst the youth. This leads to a broken disrupted hairline where there are no hair. Sikh traction alopecia is different from balding in that the hair density should match the existing hairline which is usually extremely dense. Without dense packing of grafts the results do not match up to the patients' expectations and there may be a patient-doctor conflict. At Darling Buds Hair transplant Clinic in India we do the world's largest number of hair transplant by the FUE technique in this subset of Sikh pattern traction alopecia. http//

Scalp and body hair in extensive balding Large hair transplant sessions also called Megasessions for hair transplant are becoming the norm in the field of hair restoration today. At darling Buds clinic we do megasessions almost every other day. Body hair transplant is used very often and the donor areas include chest and beard.

    Male | Non-Caucasion | Class: 6 | 3800 Grafts FUE | Transplant

What can go wrong with your hair transplant Recently the first book on FUE hair transplants was launched in Chicago. The authors comprise the who's who of hair transplant industry worldwide and discuss threadbare the realm of the minimally invasive hair transplant procedure- FUE that has taken the industry by storm with its increasing popularity every single day. However is all hunky dory in the filed of FUE hair transplant? Well, NO! You can read the book about Dr Tejinder Bhatti's Chapter on FUE Disasters and know what can go wrong and why.

Indian patient This video shows how devastating male pattern baldness can be for a young man and how challenging its treatment for the surgeon given the fact that he has a less than adequate scalp donor area for hair transplant. Keeping in mind future hair loss with advancing age in the near and distant future, a hair transplant comes with huge challenges to the surgeon and the hair transplant patient client needs to be aware of what he can realistically expect from a hair transplant at a young age in the background of family history of significant balding. Extensive baldness like this patient with type 5 male pattern baldness needs to be approached with caution and besides scalp hair, body hair transplants need to be thought of. Adjuncts like SMP (scalp micro pigmentation) go a long way in meeting patient goals in hair transplant surgery. At Darling Buds Chandigarh India Dr Tejinder Bhatti does a large number of extensive baldness cases with FUE hair transplant. FUE hair transplant has today come of age as a standalone technique for a head full of hair due to availability of body hair for body hair transplant.

Did My FUE Hair Transplant Surgeon Over Harvest My Donor Area?

You are not technically dealing with scar tissue quite yet, as the collagen over-expression takes about four weeks or longer to cross over into scar formation territory.

Can I Have Hair Transplant Surgery to Create a Mohawk Hairstyle?

A mohawk like the one shown above is only achievable in hair transplant patients who have a good scalp donor site and do not have much advancing baldness.

Can I Reverse My Hair Transplant with Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE)?

FUE removal of hair is not often a viable option since: Hair growth is in a cycle where hairs are in various phases of expression- anagen (full bloom), telogen and catagen (resting phase).

Jun 2016 Can I Safely Rub Off Loose Hair Two Weeks after Hair Transplant Surgery?

Quite often between 5th & 10th post procedure days, one notices black scabs falling out from the hair. Sometimes this is accompanied by a small planted hair adherent to the scab.

Is Immediate Hair Growth after Hair Transplant Normal?

Once the hairs are transplanted they are cut off from their blood supply and it takes time for new blood vessel formation to deliver blood back to the follicle.

Does New Hair Growth Harden and Soften after Hair Transplant Surgery?

When follicular units are placed into their respective recipient sites they are very short, usually 1mm to 3mm so of course they will feel coarse and stiff.

Is Hair Transplant Surgery Effective for Patients with Advanced Hair Loss?

You have a lot to think about. It is imperative to first address the idea that you are young at 34 years of age and you have obviously had a lot of hair loss.

Should Prospective Hair Transplant Patients Undergo a Psychological Screening Prior to Surgery?

This is a very good subject but one that is very difficult to answer easily. I believe that, as medical professionals, we have a responsibility to do no harm (which is one reason I ceased performing follicular unit strip surgery or FUSS).

Restoring Permanent Shock Loss after Hair Transplant Surgery

Permanent shock loss is an unfortunate side effect of hair restoration surgery that may not have been performed correctly.

Are Hair Loss Drugs Necessary to Maintain Hair Growth after Hair Transplant Surgery?

If you wish to keep your existing hair then you must continue to take medication after the hair transplant. The surgery only fills the regions where balding has taken place.

Follicular Unit Extraction Hair Transplantation: Can Transected Follicles Regrow Hair?

The issue of transection is easy to confuse, sometimes by design. Transection is by definition the cross cutting of a follicular unit in vivo.

Body Hair Transplants: Using Beard Hair Exclusively to Fill a Bald Crown?

The beard can be a wonderful source of hair transplant donor hair for those that have not enough scalp hair.

How to Distinguish Traction Alopecia from Genetic Hair Loss

The distinguishing factors of traction alopecia commonly seen in the Sikh population are:

Does Fibrosis in the Donor Area Affect the Success of Subsequent FUE Hair Transplants?

Scar tissue can indeed create problems if we do not approach the situation with care, experience and understanding.

The Benefits of Anagen Selective Harvesting in Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) Hair Transplant Surgery

I first described my “Golden Harvest” technique on the Hair Restoration Forum and Social Network in 2010 and have been following cherry picking principles ever since to get a better harvest of quality anagen only grafts.

Why Some Hair Transplant Patients Don’t Shed after Surgery

An ideal hair transplant procedure involves relocation of follicular unit grafts from the donor area to the recipient area with minimal trauma, in the shortest time possible, while stored in an optimal storage solution while the grafts are out of the body.

The Best Source of Donor Hair for Body Hair Transplant Surgery (BHT)

Dr. Tejinder Bhatti believes that when it comes to body hair transplantation (BHT), “only ABC is GOOD!”. (A- Axillary, B- Beard, C-Chest).

Is Anagen Selective Harvesting Important to the Success of Body Hair Transplant Surgery (BHT)?

It is always a good idea to undertake an anagen selective follicular unit extraction (FUE) hair transplant. Anagen phase hair are robust hair and grow better and faster and give an early result. Anagen hair can be selected either visually or mechanically (visual selection or mechanical selection).

Is Chest Hair or Beard Hair Better Suited for Hair Transplant Surgery to the Scalp?

Body hair is a boon for patients with a meager supply of scalp donor hair or in patients who are coming in for a revision of a poor hair transplant result. Besides rapid follicular unit extraction (FUE) harvest, body hair transplantation (BHT) is presently my favorite field!

Extraction vs. Insertion: What is the Most Important Stage in Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) Hair Transplantation?

A cohesive skilled team is the key variable to a successful modern day hair transplant where mega-sessions are the norm. If one accepts this fact, it would be clear that a team has to be assigned duties for efficient completion of the task at hand.

    Hair Transplant for Traction Alopecia?

Traction alopecia is defined as a focal (concentrated in one location and non-patterned), non-scarring type of alopecia.

How Soon after Surgery Can I Revise a Hair Transplant Strip Scar with Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE)?

It takes a follicular unit strip surgery (FUSS) scar 18 months to become supple. This would be the best time to fill it with FUE grafts and disguise its straight line. If done earlier, graft take is certain to be less than optimal.
