Hair Transplant Sessions: 1
Grafts Implanted: 1870
Baldness Class: 2A
Surgical Procedure: Follicular Unit Transplant (FUT/Strip)

Patient returned for his one year follow-up appointment, s/p 1870 FU grafts to recreate his hairline, which had always bothered him since childhood, and which had become more apparent with the effects of androgenic alopecia (male pattern hairloss). He is very happy with the results, as he has been able to go about all his activities "without even thinking about" his hairline/thinning look. His crown has been stabilized on finasteride.
Patient is a 25 YO male with a congenitally high hairline/large forehead. In addition, he experiences Androgenic Alopecia, i.e., thinning predominantly affecting crown, hairline, FF, posterior FF, and bilateral temples. Plan: 1600 total grafts, to recreate hairline and temples. Approx 40 cm2 total area. Goals: Reinforce hairline and FF and round bilateral temple recessions.
Actual yield at time of surgery: 1870 FU grafts: 700 1's; 1060 2's; 110 3's. Ellipse 18.2 cm x 1.0 cm.
Acceptable closure tension. Tricophytic.
