Additional Risks for a 4th Hair Transplant?

2/4/2010 1:02:02 PM

Question:

Is there any risk with having a 4th hair transplant regarding hair growth if your doctor says you have enough donor hair and scalp laxity?

Answer:

As long as you have enough donor hair available for a 4th hair transplant procedure and the grafts are carefully dissected, handled, and transplanted into tiny recipient incisions, you should be able to get high hair growth yield. The transplanted area may contain some minor scarring, but transplanting hair into these balding areas shouldn't impact hair growth yield as long as scalp vascularity isn't compromised. Minimizing the amount of dense packing in non-virgin areas of the scalp will also further minimize these risks.

I hope this helps.
