Applying Topical Hair Growth Aids after a Hair Transplant

I would like to know when one can start using topical hair growth solutions such as Folligen after they've had hair transplant surgery?

While each hair restoration physician has his or her own preference regarding post-hair transplant care, it is generally considered safe to begin using topical hair loss treatments 10 to 14 days after your procedure.

Folligen comes in a both a spray and a cream version. The spray version may be used immediately post-op to speed healing and reduce redness while the cream should not be applied until the transplanted follicular unit grafts have had time to heal.

Consult your hair restoration physician before applying any topical to your recently transplanted scalp.
