Bleeding Around the Donor Scar After Hair Transplant Suture Removal - Is this Normal?

8/14/2008 1:13:31 PM

After having my sutures removed ten days after my hair transplant, I still have some bleeding in the donor area. Any suggestions?

By now, ten days after hair transplant surgery, the wound should be completely closed. It is possible however, that some dried blood spots remain around the scar. When these blood spots or bubbles break, they will bleed, but it isn't an indication that the wound is still open.

If you are concerned about the hair transplant donor scar, please consult with your hair restoration physician to confirm the wound is completely closed and healing properly.
