My Hair Loss Story
Thinning at 27 led to propecial until I was just about 30 (worked great). I dropped it because not enough information was available with respect to birth defects, as it had mostly been prescribed for men over 45 years old. From 30 to 37, lost significant amount of hair, with accelerating progression from 34 to 37.
How has my hair loss affected me?
I've had several comments by clients and associates suggesting my age is 5 to 10 years older. I particularly disliked the way my hair was uneavenly thinning out. I didn't mind so much in public, but in the mirror, in my own personal space I really disliked it.
What hair loss treatments have worked best for me?
I used propecia for 2-3 years before starting a family and it worked within 3 to 4 months, in thicking my hair in my late twenties. I hadn't lost my hairline at that point, just thinning on the top.
Am I happy with my hair transplant experience and the results?
Very suprised by the comfort of the experience. Aside from some anesthesia needles, which was relatively minor compared with a dental visit, I didn't experience any pain. My scalp was tight the first night, but I slept 8 hours undisturbed and woke up feeling even less discomfort.
What hair loss treatments would I recommend?
My general advice and suggestions.
If you've only spoken to a consultant salesperson and you feel comfortable scheduling surgery, then something is wrong. I'm not saying don't let the sales process occur, but ask to speak with a Doctor or better yet see him if you are local to your physician choice. Make sure you understand the differences between surgeons and terminology. Everyone's expererience is a personal one, and you should want to know what to expect personally for you.
