My Hair Loss Story

I live in the UK.  Started noticing thining when I was about 21. This had a big effect on me and really knocked my confidence. I saw an advert in the paper for hair transplants, and arranged a meeting with the sales person. This was in about 1993. He showed me some pictures of some amazing hair lines, and told me that for the price of a car I could have hair like this. I was so vunerable and imetuous that I went for it. It makes me cringe now - no research, no looking at other surgeons. I ended up having 4 strip sessions of mini-micro grafts. I was left with 4 big donor scars with not much to show for it. As my hair receeds further the pluggy look is now very noticable. It it only my peak that disguises it. As I have got older, and happily married with 2 kids, Hair loss would not be that much of an issue for me now - If is wasnt for the needing to disguise the awful short sighted (and expensive) work I have had done.  I now need further HT work - and considering the US - I need to get the best I can this time to disguise the awful early 90s job I have.

Am I happy with my hair transplant experience and the results?

For 10 years it was ok - when I had my own hair line to disguise to stupid "dolls hair" that I felt conned into having. Need further work done.

My general advice and suggestions.

THINK carefully about a HT. Wait for at least a year before doing anything
