My Hair Loss Story

Had my first transplant way to young.  Figured I would be proactive and try to stay ahead of my hairloss.  Went to see Dr. Larry Shapiro in South Florida who hid some THICK grafts inbetween my existing hair.  It was barely noticeable for about 2 years and then all of the sudden the native hair fell out and I essentially felt as though I had plugs.  I then went to Dr. Epstein who helped rectify the situation to a certain extent but I am still left with a very stalky/sparse hairline.  The best thing Dr. Epstein gave me was an introduction to this site.  I did my research for over a year and am now going to see Dr. Feller to have 800-1000 grafts placed in my hairline.

How has my hair loss affected me?

Total loss of self confidence after I graduated college.

What hair loss treatments have worked best for me?

Still undecided how I feel all the products are working on me.  I've been on fin and rogaine for over a year.  I also tried PRP a little over a week ago with Feller.

Am I happy with my hair transplant experience and the results?

Wish I would have waited and done my research.

What hair loss treatments would I recommend?

Fin, Rogaine, Nizoral, PRP.  I recommend trying to fight from every angle possible.

How has hair restoration surgery changed my life?

I am very self-conscious about my previous transplants.  I have 3's at the front of my hairline and I brush my hair forward to cover everything

My general advice and suggestions.

Do your research and pick a respected Doc.  Don't let travel be an issue.  Don't take chances.  Go with someone who has proven themselves time and time again.
