My Hair Loss Story

Started thinning at about 18 years old. Always had my hair long below the shoulders, everyday I'd have a different woman telling me how much she would envy my hair, so when my hair loss started, it was like having a part of my personality cut off. It took a huge hit on my self confidence.

How has my hair loss affected me?

It affected me A LOT.

What hair loss treatments have worked best for me?

I used Rogaine to treat my hair loss for about a year and a half. The first year was great, although my newly grown hair wouldn't grow more than 2 inches at most. After a year of use I slowly lost all that hair again so I discontinued use 'cause it just wasn't working anymore for me.

Now I take Propecia once a day and it seemed to have significantly reduced my hair loss rate, although it hasn't grown any new hairs.

Am I happy with my hair transplant experience and the results?

I'm only 1 day post op, so I can't talk about results yet. But Dr. Charles and his staff were extremely professional, everything was done in a very relaxed and cheerful atmosphere. I've seen pics of his patients and I've heard very good things about his work, so I can't wait to see what my results are.

What hair loss treatments would I recommend?

A hair transplant, it's worth much more than what it costs.

How has hair restoration surgery changed my life?

I hope it gives back to me the self confidence I lost. And I hope I can go back to look my age and not 10 years older.

My general advice and suggestions.

Do a lot of research before making your choice.
