My Hair Loss Story

As child blessed with a high forehead, temples and fine hair already (see pictures). At age 21 (1998) things really got worse. Within 4 years I became a NW3 and quickly thereafter my crown started to become thin as well. At age 27 (2004) I was a NW4. I started to take propecia and minoxidil. My hairloss stopped but was pretty bald already. Only option was a hairtransplant but I never ever considered a FUT, that was not an option at all. Some years later FUE became popular and I started my journey. I'm back to my old hairline as a child, high forehead with temples, nw2, and I'm pretty happy. My 1st hairtransplant wasnt really a succes at all, I think I lost about 800-1000 grafts unfortunately. My 2nd en 3rd transplant really made the difference but I think I could have had this result with 4000 grafts total. Now I have received well above 5000 grafts, 3x FUE. Dr. Bijan Feriduni thinks I still have 5000 grafts left. I'm planning one final FUE somewhere in 2012.

How has my hair loss affected me?

Depression, panic attacks.

What hair loss treatments have worked best for me?

Finasteride, Minoxidil, Rooscure/Nizoral.

Am I happy with my hair transplant experience and the results?

Definitely, but it's an addiction. You want more and more.

My general advice and suggestions.

Keep calm, dont panic and dont hesitate to do a hairtransplant under the right circumstances.
