Can I Use Nioxin Shampoo Ten Days after Hair Restoration Surgery?

5/16/2014 4:54:36 AM

Question:

I had a hair transplant ten days ago. I see that the product Nioxin promotes healthy hair growth. Is it ok to use this type of product after hair restoration surgery? I don't want to do anything that will work against me. I am free of any complications and steadily shedding the 'crusts'. Please advise. Thank you!

Answer:

It’s always best to follow your hair restoration physician’s aftercare instructions. However, in general, it is perfectly safe to use any shampoo you like by ten days after a hair transplant.

Nioxin in a high quality shampoo containing both natural and synthetic ingredients. There are no harmful ingredients in Nioxin. But, it’s also important to note that it does not regrow hair and its benefits to thinning hair are unproven.
