Deciding on a Quality Hair Transplant Surgeon

I had a transplant session done about a year ago in Atlanta. Needless to say, I didn't know about your website and I went to a less than qualified surgeon because I didn't know better at the time. My results from that transplant are subpar and make me look worse than I did prior to the surgery. I live approximately 1.5 hours from Atlanta, GA. I see that you recommend Dr. Griffin and he appears to do excellent work. I also see that Dr. Shapiro from MN does excellent work too. I am going to be very picking in selecting my next surgeon so I can have fixed the poor work from the last doctor. However, I'd like to stay local so that in person check-ups are easier. I don't see that many posts on your hair loss forum from Dr. Griffin's patients. Can you give me any insight as to whether or not he a top of the line surgeon in hair restoration? Or should I go with Dr. Shapiro and deal with traveling?

I have confidence in Coalition member Dr. Griffin's work and feel his hair transplant technique and results are state of the art. However, selecting a hair restoration physician takes careful research and is very personal. In my opinion, consult with Dr. Griffin, Dr. Shapiro, and any others you are considering for surgery. Also, see what their patients are saying by using the find feature of our hair restoration forum and view our patient websites. Also, Dr. Griffin, Dr. Shapiro and many other leading physicians have been visited and observed in live surgery by Patrick Hennessey, Publisher of the Hair Transplant Network.
