Does a Hair Transplant Look Natural?

1/24/2008 3:04:19 PM

Question:

I am suffering from hair loss and considering hair transplantation. How natural will it look? I'm just concerned that I will undergo hair restoration surgery and then permanently look fake.

Answer:

The days of old hair transplant "plugs" and "corn rows" are long gone and over. Those hair transplant surgeons who are performing state of the art ultra refined follicular unit hair restoration surgery are producing very natural looking results.

Be aware however, that not all hair replacement surgeons are equal in their ability to perform hair transplant surgery. Unfortunately, some physicians still use outdated techniques because they have not yet risen to the challenge of providing state of the art hair transplant patient results. This is a huge issue of which all potential hair restoration patients should be aware. Therefore, it is vital to research thoroughly all hair transplant surgeons you are considering. I encourage you to use our online resources as a tool for research which includes the Hair Transplant Network, the Hair Loss Learning Center, and the Hair Loss Q&A Blog. Be sure to research adn ask questions on our open hair restoration forum community.
