George Clooney is known worldwide for having thick, luscious, and perfectly quaffed hair, but some have speculated that it wasn't always that way. In fact, Clooney appeared to have been suffering from a minor temple recession when he was starring in the 90's hit television show called 'ER.' However, this recession appeared to improve throughout the years. In this article, we will find out what exactly is going on with George Clooney's hair.

Early Days on Television

George Clooney is an American actor who is almost 60 years old and is best known for his salt and pepper hair that doesn't seem to be leaving any time soon. He had several small roles in the late '70s and '80s, but he didn't become a household name until the mid-'90s.

In the early days, Clooney had some of the thickest hair anyone had ever seen on television. Even Joey Lawrence would have said 'Woah' to that mane.

But his hairline didn't stay looking like this for long. The above-listed picture was taken in 1986, and a little over 10 years later, he had obvious signs of temple recession, notably seen in the picture below.

Inconsistent Hairlines

One only has to do a quick google search of Clooney's hair throughout the years to see a blatant lack of consistency. At times his hairline can appear mature, while at other times, he has the hairline of a pre-pubescent boy. This has led to speculation that Clooney wears a hairpiece.

Here Clooney is pictured in 2001 in the motion picture movie Oceans Eleven with a mature hairline.

Four years later, in 2005, Clooney can be seen with some major hairline recession in Syriana.

Okay, so this doesn't prove anything right. Maybe Clooney had to shave some of his hair for the role to appear like he's suffering from male pattern baldness. This wouldn't be the first time an actor does this for a role, right? Yes, while that is true, it still doesn't explain why he no longer has the Widowspeak that was present in his younger years.

Our Final Thoughts

It's clear that Clooney is doing something with his hair, but it's most likely not a hair transplant. Surgical hair restoration is a permanent solution to hair loss. The changes in the hairline are not consistent with someone undergoing hair transplantation.

Clooney is either shaving off the widow's peak to make his hairline appear straighter and more youthful or using a hairpiece. Given the fact that his hairline changes shape and density every other year, it is highly probable that Clooney is wearing a hairpiece. Based on the evidence listed above, we're certain that he did not have a hair transplant.
