Hair Transplant Surgery: Is It Painful?

6/2/2012 2:43:03 AM

Question:

Are hair transplants painful? Is there painless hair transplantation?

Answer:

All surgery has the potential to be painful. However, in most cases hair transplant surgery results in only minor discomfort.

Many patients report that the worst part of the surgery is the initial injections. Once the local anesthetic takes effect, there is very little pain.

To read first-hand surgical experiences from real hair restoration patients I suggest visiting the following thread from our hair loss discussion forum, New Guy Here, Going in Tomorrow and I'm Terrified.
