How Soon After a Hair Transplant Can I have a Second Procedure?

I just had my 1st hair transplant procedure this year last month. How long before it's ok to have a 2nd hair transplant procedure?

In my opinion, it's advisable to wait at least a year to let your first hair transplant fully mature. If hair is being transplanted to a new virgin area of the scalp, some may argue that a patient can undergo a second hair transplant procedure 6 months after the first. However in my personal experience, I've found that scalp elasticity in the donor area takes up to a year to return to normal. Thus, to maximize the number of hairs in your next hair restoration procedure, waiting a year is a safe bet.
