Is Hair Transplant Surgery Possible for Black African Americans?

6/1/2008 9:35:24 PM

Question:

Does hair transplant work for black African Americans? if so, how much money do I need? Are there payment options?

Answer:

Hair restoration surgery is certainly possible for African Americans with hair loss. But whether or not you are personally a candidate is up for a qualified hair transplant surgeon to evaluate.

Hair transplant costs are dependent on a number of things including the number of grafts you require to meet your goals, the cost the clinic charges per follicular unit graft, and the type of surgery you are undergoing (follicular unit hair transplantation - FUT or follicular unit excision (formerly known as follicular unit extraction) - FUE).  Click here to learn more about hair transplant costs .
