No Shedding after Hair Transplant: Will This Affect Hair Growth?

1/24/2013 2:26:14 AM

Question:

I had hair restoration surgery 33 days ago and still have half my transplanted hairs intact. Does this mean that my hair growth would be delayed as well?

Answer:

Congratulations on taking control of your hair loss! The answer to your question is no, not at all. While most hair transplant recipients do shed the transplanted grafts in the first few weeks after surgery, a lucky few will retain most of them and they will continue to grow uninterrupted. You should see this as a positive. It will have no impact on your final results.

Best of luck!
