The NeoGraft Hair Transplant Machine was initially marketed in such a way that men and women suffering from hair loss would be forced to ask "Where Can I get a NeoGraft Procedure" or "Who is the Best Neograft Doctor?" Unfortunatelly, both questions are products of nothing more than questionable and misleading marketing as the answers to such questions don't exist. The reality is, NeoGraft isn't a procedure at all and there is no such thing as a "NeoGraft Doctor". So what is the Neograft?
The NeoGraft Hair Transplant Machine is one of many devices hair transplant surgeons can use to extract hair follicles during FUE (follicular unit excision). Like all extraction tools, the NeoGraft machine comes with a list of potential advantages and disadvantages. Since the Neograft FUE device has been around for awhile, evidence demonstrates that while the NeoGraft can produce viable grafts or transplanting in experienced hands, the NeoGraft is not the extraction device of choice for most leading hair transplant surgeons.
Now just because the Neograft isn't popular and many top notch surgeons prefer using other tools and devices instead of the NeoGraft, that doesn't mean that there aren't some outstanding surgeons using the NeoGraft with great success on a regular basis. In fact, one of our recommended physicians, Dr. Vories regularly uses the NeoGraft with great success.
The main problem reported amongst physicians and patients related to the NeoGraft is that it was initially marketed to the neophyte doctor and inexperienced technicians with claims that anyone using the NeoGraft device, regardless of experience can produce great hair transplants. This particular claim is blatantly false and over the years, many patients who had surgery with inexperienced surgeons using the NeoGraft ended up reporting poor growth and unsatisfactory experiences.
At the end of the day, the NeoGraft is just one of many tools that hair transplant surgeons can use for a FUE hair transplant procedure. It's not "better" or "worse" than any other device although it many possess some advantages and disadvantages over other tools in general. Most importantly, a tool is only as good as the one using it. A clumsy carpenter may end up putting holes in your wall trying to use a hammer. But an experienced contractor can build a house. Similarly, an experienced and skilled hair transplant surgeon will pick their tools and produce an outstanding hair transplant. But someone without any experience will likely produce nothing more than unhappy patients regardless of the tool they choose.
