About

I'm a 29 years old, started noticing my hair thinning around the age of 23. My hair was so thick that I didn't really bother doing anything about it. I really started to notice very thinned hair around age 25 and decided to do something about it.My condition became so bad that i had to consult a skin doctor for a treatment. 8 months back i went to a dermatologist in india and he prescribed me Minoxidil solution 10% (Coverit) twice daily, Finasteride 1mg daily, Biotin Mineral tables daily and Xgain shampoo 2 times weekly. Now I started seeing good progress and i see thick hairs in the crown area and in frontal head. The above medicines are only available in India. Now i replaced Xgain with Nizoral after i moved to US. Though i see progress i was not satisfied...I realized that the medicine helped to just retain what i had. I did lot of research and decided to go for a Hair transplant. I have started noticing hair loss when I was 23. And it began in the crown region and has gradually progressed since then. In the past 1 year i saw more thinning in the front region. I am now 29.

Procedure 1

Pre op The hair transplant surgery was painless. As it was my first surgery in my life i was little scared. But Dr Cooley and the staff gave me comfort. I was given Valium and some antibiotics during the surgery. I was half asleep most of the time. The accommodation etc was well arranged for two days - one prior to the surgery day and one after the surgery day. The staff was also nice. We had discussed for 3000 grafts before the surgery and ended up getting 3282 grafts for the same price - Thanks Dr. Cooley!. Dr. Cooley and team had arranged pickup and drop off from hotel & hospital as well as from airport and hotel. Thanks a bunch to Cooley. After the surgery, I was given a solution which I was told to spray at regular interval. In addition, I also took Valium that got rid of the pain. Dr gave me pain killer too but i didnt take those as i didnt feel much pain at all.

Procedure 1

10 Days after surgery
Dr Cooley told the recipient area will became dry after a week and start peeling like a sunburn. It happened the same way. I think everything is going as normal. I still use the shampoo which Dr Cooley provided and i hope this would remove all the white sunburn kind of thing.

Before surgery Dr Cooley suggested not to fill the crown hair which grows downwards as it would look funny if my crow balding becomes bigger. He suggested to fill around 800 around the top of the crow and remaining 2200 on the front. He wanted to be conservative about future as well. And i agreed too.
