About

I started losing my hair from a very early age. I was 17 and I remember getting comments from my friends about how I would soon become bald. I had  learned to live with it till last year when I decided to do something about it. That is when I found out about  this wonderful website and I began educating myself until I felt that I was mentally ready to go for it. Many thanks to David, Bill, Pat and everyone else who take time to log in and feed this site with all the valuable information needed for someone like me to help me take charge and finally do something about my hair loss.

At about mid September I sent my pics for evaluation to Hasson and Wong. Joe then calls me 10 days later. He tells me that he needs to see more pictures of the top of my head which I send the next day.  On October 11 I call the clinic to get some feedback. Joe tells me that based on the pictures I provided I would need roughly 4000 to 4500 grafts. I then ask about when Dr Hasson's next opening is. Joe tells me that one was in mid November, which I turned down because I would be away on a family vacation a week later. The next possible opening was at the end of January 2012. It seemed a little far away but what can I say? It was the best option i had at that point. Dr. Hasson is the surgeon I chose based on what I learned from researching on the internet since last year. I  decided to reserve the date. Joe then calls me a few hours later to inform me that a cancellation ocurred and a new opening appeared for Friday October 14. He wanted to know if I was interested in filling up Dr Hasson's empty seat. It seemed a little short notice, but I was thrilled about getting the operation done sooner regardless. I just started my scalp exersises 2 days ago but I knew inside me, I was ready and willing. I tell him "You know what Joe? Sign me up man. I'm ready."

Bald Class

Bald class 3V

Norwood stage 3 Vertex

In terms of the receding hairline, stage 3 vertex balding is a less drastic version of stage 3.
However, people experiencing stage 3 vertex balding will also begin losing hair on the crown of their head. This often starts as one small bald spot.

never tried any.

I could not be happier so far. No need for painkillers nor for sleeping pills.

Hair transplant followed by meds to maintain what you got left and stop further loss.

Too soon to tell. I feel great already for the step I took. I wish I did it earlier.

I live in New York for the last 30 some years. I have spent countless hours researching on the internet for the top rated hair transplant websites, comparing thousands of before and after pictures and reading reviews of many prominent doctors. Actually a few of the best doctors have offices within a couple of blocks away from where my business is located. Despite all this, I decided to fly for 6 hours without thinking about the extra cost (air fair, hotels), or inconvenience. You may be wondering why I made this decision. It owes to the fact that I discovered the work of Dr. Hasson, a reportedly very talented and "artistic" surgeon who I felt he would be the only doctor that would work for me.

These are of course all of my own opinions.

The bottom line is: Do your research very carefully and don't let destination be a factor.

Procedure 1

3 months My 3rd month has passed. I had some shock loss from month 1-2.5 but now I see my native hair is coming back alone with lots of grafted hair. The new baby hair is short, very thin and colourless but it's there and that's what counts. My hairline started to form. Its still very weak but hopefully it will thicken with time. I took David's and Lavrais's advice (thank's guys) and cut my hair even shorter this time. #2 back and sides and #4 top. Short in the back for my scar which is more visible from my left side with this short haircut. I'm happy so far with the progress and anxious to see what month #4 will bring. Hopefully a little more density. LOL. This month I took a few outdoors pics, daytime. natural daylight, no flush.  Well, this wraps it up for this month. Please feel free to drop me a  comment and I'll see you guys next month hopefully with more hair!!!!!  All the best.

Procedure 1

2 months Two months have passed already. Things look pretty normal for my stage. I buzzed my hair down to number 3 three weeks ago. A littlebit short for my scar which is healing nicely by the way. I kinda like the short haircut  look which I have not done  since my teens. I stopped wearing my cup also since two weeks ago. Here are a few pictures to share with you. See you guys in a month. Happy holidays to all.

Procedure 1

1 month One month already has passed. My scalp is still a little pink. Lots of grafted hair are gone but some stayed and are growing. I also notice some new baby sprouts.  I read in other  blogs that few patients experience early results. Is that my case?  I cross my fingers. I took some pictures on the 14th. Please view and share your thoughts. Hope my blog is helpfull. See you in a month.

Procedure 1

14 days. . Rejoice! The staples are finally out today. What a relief! It was not  the best 45  minutes of my life, let me tell you. 119 altogether. Despite this  unpleasant experience, I feel so much better already. All of the scabs are gone. The grafted area is still pink. The donor scar is at least healing nicely. Kudos to Dr Hasson! Many of the grafted hairs have shed. I wear my hat to work, as well as everywhere else I go when I leave my house. Went to get a haircut on Sunday but changed  my mind at the last minute. I' ll wait a couple of more weeks, perhaps a little longer than that... I will post more pictures at the one month mark. See you then!
