Dr. H. Rahal and his staff perform large one pass sessions of ultra refined follicular unit hair transplantation with outstanding results.

Dr. Rahal has performed hair restoration surgery since 1995 and is exclusively performing all microscopically prepared ultra refined follicular unit grafting. He specializes in both state of the art follicular unit strip surgery (FUSS) and follicular unit extraction (FUE).

His ultra refined technique enables him and his staff to dense pack large numbers of grafts in a given area. This enables patients to achieve outstanding cosmetic density in only one surgical session, while the small incisions minimize trauma and enable rapid healing and regrowth. By carefully controlling the angle and direction of all graft incisions he creates a very natural pattern and direction for the new hair, even in the temple and sides.

Rahal FUE is a major, modern advancement in hair transplantation - the least invasive and fastest-healing hair transplant available. You'll be working, exercising, and socializing quicker than with any other kind of hair transplant! Dr. H. Rahal feels that FUE is an important part of today's hair transplant surgery and provides it to patients who are very concerned about the linear scar associated with strip surgery.

Dr. Rahal has invested heavily in acquiring highly specialized medical equipment, modern facilities and in building a dedicated staff. His large staff of 12 medical technicians enables him to provide patients with large sessions , while maintaining the highest quality possible.

Dr. Rahal's patients nicknamed him "The Hairline King" for the trademark hairline he designs: his Rahal Hairline combines his technical expertise and his artistic skills, resulting in youthful, natural hairlines with maximum fullness and density.

Our Growth Guarantee, is an assurance that we guarantee to replace any non-growing hair transplant grafts free-of-charge. In Dr. Rahal's 22 years of practice and over 5000 hair transplant procedures performed, this happens on very rare cases.

Dr. Rahal serves patients from all points on the globe from his offices in Ottawa, and Toronto. He has performed over 5,000 hair surgeries, perfecting technical aspects including Rahal FUE - the least invasive and fastest-healing hair transplant available. He performed the first robotic hair transplant surgery in Canada as featured on the Discovery Channel.

Rahal FUE Video - Norwood 3

This 25 year old male was presented to Dr. Rahal to restore his hairline and mid front. 2108 FUE grafts were used to produce the following results

Male | Caucasion | Class: 3 | 2108 Grafts FUE | Transplant

Dr Rahal Video Presentation - 3611 Grafts - FUT

This patient, aged 57, had an FUT procedure with Dr Rahal to restore his frontal zones.

Male | Caucasion | Class: 2 | FUT/Strip | Transplant

Dr Rahal Video Presentation - 2616 Grafts - FUT

50 year old patient with hairline recession. His age and slow rate of hair loss made him an ideal candidate for this type of dense restoration with complete temple closure.

Male | Caucasion | Class: 2 | 2616 Grafts in 1 Session | FUT/Strip | Transplant

Dr Rahal Video Presentation - 4420 Grafts - FUT

This patient had deep hairline recession, plus thinning in a Norwood 5 pattern. He underwent an FUT procedure for 4420 grafts to reconstruct his hairline and add density throughout. We captured some video of the final result.

You can see his photos here.

His second, smaller FUE procedure to restore his crown can be seen here.

Male | Caucasion | Class: 5 | 4420 Grafts in 1 Session | FUT/Strip | Transplant

Dr Rahal Video Presentation - 1829 Grafts - FUE

We took some video footage of this incredible FUE hairline. We posted the photos previously, but seeing the comb go through the hair really shows you the density and how natural it looks.

Male | Caucasion | Class: 2 | 1829 Grafts in 1 Session | FUE | Transplant

Dr Rahal Video Presentation - 1757 Grafts - FUT

Here we have a nice hairline transformation. The patient is a Norwood 3 and had 1757 grafts FUT.

Dr Rahal Video Presentation - 2008 Grafts - FUE

Dr. Rahal- 2205 FUE -12 Months Post-Op

This 43 year-old Investment Broker came to Dr. Rahal after extensively researching the forums to find a surgeon who would produce the specific results he was looking for. Before his hair restoration, this patient would avoid bad-weather days, as he was afraid to deal with what the elements usually did to his thinning hair. He was a Norwood III, and didn't want to deal with the self-esteem issues that went with his hair loss any more. In August 2012, the patient flew to Ottawa to have his procedure in Dr. Rahal's clinic. He received 2205 grafts via FUE. The photos taken and posted here are one year after his procedure. The patient had 450 single grafts, 1081 double grafts, and 674 triple grafts, for a total of 4634 hairs. The patient no longer hides his head under hats, and spends less time worrying about his hair and more time enjoying his hobbies of exercise and golf! He recently stated in an interview that he thinks he went to "one of, if not the very best surgeon in the field". To this day, his hairdresser has no idea that he has had a transplant because of the natural result!!!

"What drew me to hair transplantation does combine the art and the science. The physicians who are performing cosmetic type of surgery and hair transplants are, we all have a bit of an artist inside us. So you are in a way creating art as well as, we all went into medicine because we love science and surgery. It's a perfect fit because you're combining the science and the basic sciences and surgical, and medical. And then you're combining art and altogether, it's a great field to be able to do that. At the same time, you do develop a relationship with the patients over a long period of time. And for me personally, and for many other physicians, there's a certain satisfaction that you could take from having transformation of a patient from one end of the spectrum at the beginning to a full head of hair or something that's really changing for them. To me that's gratifying and satisfactory."

"I think always, in the top of my mind, the patient really is at the top of the list in terms of what we're here to do - we're here to do something positive for the patient. And with that in mind, to provide them and meet their goals and expectations. At the same time, we aim to have an educational approach and teach them their options, to walk them through everything that can be done for them. I always try to keep the patient's priorities at the top of the list. It's a patient centered approach. They are the patient, we're here for them. It's always at the top of my mind because that's what we're doing this for."

Below is a transcript of the hair transplant video for your reference.

"I can provide you with a story of one patient, he's a young guy in his 20's. He's been losing hair, has lost enough hair, has been hiding behind a baseball cap for many years. For him to go through his 20's was somewhat devastating for his self esteem and confidence. He came into the office a bit skeptical as to what could be done for him. His expectations were not very high. Setting out a plan and a year later, seeing his results and how they exceeded his expectations. The ability for him to get rid of the baseball cap or the hat was a big change. For awhile it was a secret and he didn't want to tell anyonen about it. Now he walks around and tells everyone that it's a hair transplant. To me that's perfect..."

Dr. Rahal Discusses Patient Research and Consultations

Dr. Hussain Rahal discusses what a hair transplant patient consultation looks like at his hair restoration clinic

Below is a transcript of the hair transplant video for your reference.

"Some new patients coming in either have extensive knowledge from their own research on the procedure, from a laymen's point of view. Some come in with minimal information. My first role meeting them is to to see what their goals and what they're looking to achieve, and assess what their base knowledge is. In working with them to either educate them, to inform them of their options. So after the first meeting which could take an hour to an hour and a half consultation, we have come to a conclusion as to what we and the patient want to do. In many occasions, I will see a patient once again, or three times, until they're very comfortable to proceed forward. Once they're ready in terms of their knowledge and information, I will be more comfortable myself to proceed forward with them."

Non-Surgical and Surgical Hair Loss Treatments

Dr. Hussain Rahal discusses non-surgical and surgical hair loss treatment options he provides hair loss sufferers visiting his hair transplant clinic.

Below is a transcript of the hair transplant video for your reference.

"First of all, a patient comes in with hair loss, my first step is to make a diagnosis as to what is the cause of their hair loss. If it's determined that they have male pattern or genetic type of hair loss, medications are a big part of the treatment plan. And that's something we will encourage patients to use. If they're surgical candidates, to go through the surgical options whether it's the strip surgery or follicular unit extraction, from a surgical point. And to make sure they're taking care of their body as a whole. Hair loss could be genetic but we can make big steps towards nurturing healthy bodies, vitamins, nutrition and exercise. This is something we don't specify a specific plan, but it is something we discuss and make sure a patient is moving that way."

Selecting a Quality Hair Restoration Surgeon

Dr. Hussain Rahal discusses what hair loss sufferers considering hair restoration surgery should look for when selecting a hair transplant surgeon.

Below is a transcript of the hair transplant video for your reference.

"First of all, they should obviously come in and meet with the physician directly. In my office I will always meet the patient before any hair transplant surgery. That's an important step for many reasons. Because I'm doing surgery I need to know what the patient is looking for and what I'm able to provide and for them to have realistic expectations."

Achieving Excellent Hair Transplant Results

Dr. Hussain Rahal discusses how to achieve an excellent hair transplant result.

Below is a transcript of the hair transplant video for your reference.

"To achieve a great result with a patient, you have to have the ability to perform the hair transplant surgery at a high caliber. That could involve using the right equipment, the right type of tools, experience using these tools, a well trained staff. We have a team of 11 staff members, the majority have been with me for 11 years. This way, over the years, you've accumulated an extensive amount of experience. That's invaluable when you're doing a larger hair transplant session. It's something you can learn, study and go to meetings. But experience is what counts at the end of the day. We have an extensive quality control where the more experienced staff will teach the newer staff and so forth. This way, on the top of the pyramid is myself, where I'm always assuring quality control. And that's important because there's many steps in this procedure and with each step, if you can improve 20% in each part of the step and at the end of the day it's very accumulative. And the ability to do all that and put it all together will take many, many, many years to achieve and we have done that."

Continually Improving the Hair Transplant Procedure

Dr. Hussain Rahal discusses how he continually works to improve his hair transplant procedure and what he likes best about performing state of the art hair restoration surgery. Below is a transcript of the hair transplant video for your reference. "I'm typically happy with what we've done. The scientist in me, there's always room to change and improve. However, I like the results we're doing. It proves we're on the right track as far as the techniques that we're using and the approach we're taking with the patients. Plus the feedback of the patient that on one hand they're very happy with the results, it's positive reinforcement. When you see a very natural and undetectable hair transplant that you've helped create, it's a smile on our faces, and the staffs as well."
