Postage Stamp Follicular Unit Excision (formerly Follicular Unit Extraction) (FUE) and Female Hair Loss

3/6/2012 2:32:14 AM

Question:

Is it possible to get just a few follicular unit excision (formerly known as follicular unit extraction) (FUE) grafts? What is the relative cost and can it be used effectively for female frontal hair loss?

Answer:

Yes, it is possible to have a very small FUE procedure. This is often referred to as “postage stamp” FUE. However, not all clinics perform FUE and not all that do will perform such small procedures. You can expect the cost of the procedure to run between $6 and $10 per graft.

I suggest using our interactive map to find a prescreened quality hair restoration physician near you.
