Everyone deals with hair loss. Differently, some men can shave their heads and never look back, while others struggle to leave their house without a hat. Let's face it. We live in a world where looks matter. Whether we like to admit it or not- this is the reality. In this article, we share Scott's incredible hair transplant journey, that is both educational and inspiring.
At What Age Did You Notice Your Hair Loss?
I was in my early twenties when I first noticed the temporal recession- this affected my confidence because I was no longer able to wear the hairstyles that were popular or trendy at the time. As a result, I began to grow my hair out long and brush it forward to conceal the recession.
What Made You Want To Research Hair Transplant Surgery?
My hair has always been critical to me. Music is one of my passions, and of course, all of the best iconic British bands have great hair, The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, The Beetles, even George Michael. It bothered me that I wasn't able to style my hair the way I wanted too. Style and fashion are also fundamental to me, and I feel my hairstyle is intrinsic to my ability to dress confidently. Let's face it; no models have receding hairlines, hair is the cherry on top to your overall appearance. That is why I wanted to embark on this hair transplant journey.
Why Did You Choose Dr. Lupunzula?
The reason I chose Dr. Lupunzula is that he performs every aspect of surgery, including the hairline design and FUE extraction. He only performs 1-2 operations per day, so I felt like a patient and not a number. I felt that Dr. Lupunzula was patient-centered and results-driven, as opposed to money-focused and numbers-driven. I was impressed by the comb-through videos he has on his YouTube channel, which shows an excellent eye to detail and aesthetics.
Moreover, Dr. Lupunzual uses stereo microscopes to ensure the grafts are ultra-refined, and the hairline will contain single-haired follicular units, to mimic nature. Furthermore, his work has been validated by third-party organizations like the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgeons (ISHRS) and by the Hair Transplant Network. Also, during my consultation, he was warm, engaging, passionate, and he came across as a real student of the art of hair transplantation- his constant presence at workshops shows this.
How Has Surgery Changed Your Life?
Surgery has had a massive impact on my life. I used to obsessed with my hair, and it was always on my mind. Now I'm able to wear my hair however I want too and show it off. I get compliments about how good my hair looks, and I must admit that it is a great feeling. People are legitimately shocked when I tell them that I have had a hair transplant. My confidence and self-esteem have improved immensely since having the procedure, and I'm eternally grateful to Dr. Lupunzula for changing my life.
