Three Weeks after My Hair Transplant the Hairs are Not Shedding

Question:

I recently had a hair transplant. I am now three weeks post-op and my transplanted hairs have not shed but seem to be growing. When will the transplanted hairs shed and regrow? Will this affect my final result? Please clarify.

Answer:

In most cases, the transplanted hair follicles will shed during the first month after hair restoration surgery and then begin their normal growing cycle. A few patients find that many of their transplanted hairs don’t shed but continue to grow. This is perfectly fine and will not affect the outcome of your hair transplant.
