Will Medical Insurance Pay for My Hair Transplant?

9/15/2014 4:00:36 AM

Question:

Hello, I'm from Singapore. I'm interested in having surgical hair restoration and want to know if my medical insurance will pay for it.

Answer:

My short answer is, “probably not”. However, the only way to know for sure if your medical insurance will pay for your hair transplant is to check with them directly.

Hair loss is a cosmetic concern and does not affect one's physical health. Here in the United States, medical insurance does not typically pay for cosmetic procedures.
