Will a Third Hair Transplant Damage Existing Hair?

6/18/2010 3:19:49 AM

I am considering having a third hair transplant but I'm afraid of the existing hair being damaged or shocked and falling out. Do you know anyone who has had three hair transplants and is happy with the results?

Yes! In fact, Bill Seemiller, the Managing Publisher of the Hair Transplant Network has had four hair transplants and he is very pleased with his results. You can view his Hair Loss Website for more information about his experiences.

Keep in mind that shock loss is a common and temporary reaction to hair transplantation. Shocked hairs will grow back.

Transection, on the other hand, is damage caused to the existing hair follicles and is one of the dangers of hair transplantation surgery. By choosing a highly skilled and experienced hair restoration physician you will greatly reduce that risk.

I suggest you view our list of prescreened, quality hair restoration physicians and the criteria we use to recommend them.
